711Anne Bishop, of Guilford, wodow, notices her son John Bishop; grand-daughter Elizabeth Hubbard; noticed her old servant Thos. Smith. She gave most of her estate to be "divided betwixt her three children, John and Steven Bishop and James Steele," and made James Steele her son-in-law sole executor, and gave him 6 pounds over and above his third part of all her estate in this Country and in England. Her will was dated June 20, 1673 - made her mark - will was proved before Wm. leete. Inventory 81 pounds, 9s. 7d. dated May 1, 1676. A part of her property was at Hartford, but the larger share of it at Guilford at her decease. |
