It was necessary for him to add a Codicil due to the fact that his wife, Barbara A. Snader, who had been mentioned in his will, had died. Also mentioned in his will were his daughter Emma H., and sons Henry M., Francis M., Joseph I., Reverdy N., Edwin A. and Schuyler S. Obituary Notice: Democratic Advocate Newspaper - 29 May 1908 issue. "Levi N. Snader, a native of this county and one of the oldest and best-known residents of this city, died at his home on East Green Street, Sunday afternoon. Mr. Snader was 80 years old. His first occupation was farming, and after that he was a successful merchant at New Windsor and Frizzelburg. During the last 18 or 20 years he lived a retired life. He was well informed in public affairs. He was a Republican, and always interested in the success of his party. About 20 years ago he was the Republican candidate for county treasurer, and failed of election by a small majority. He was a member of the Door to Virtue Masonic Lodge, of this city. Mr. Snader was twice married. By his first marriage he leaves one daughter and five sons, Miss Emma H. Snader, Frank M. Snader, Henry M. Snader of Baltimore; Edwin A. Snader of near Taneytown; Reverdy N. Snader of this city and S. Scott Snader of Connelsville, Pa. Richard Smith Snader, the only Republican member of the House of Delegates from this county, is his nephew." | ||||||||||||||
