Last Will & Testament... Carroll Co. Courthouse, Book WWW11, Folio 428
"I Peter E. Drach, of New Windsor, Carroll County, Maryland, being in health and sound mind, memory, and understanding, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in form and manner following that is to say:
Item 1. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ella Amedia Drach Franklin, my large chest; also my enlarged picture of myself.
Item 2. I give and bequeath the remainder of my effects, in the way of furniture, bed clothes and cash (if any to my three children share and share alike; that is to say: One third to my son John E. Drach. One third to my son, Isaac W. Drach. One third to my daughter Elle Amedia Drach Franklin, or to their children.
I desire my Executor hereinafter named to sell anything not wanted collect whatever money I may die possessed of and distribute as heretofore mentioned.
And lastly I do constitute and appoint my worthy son John E. Drach to be the Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me made, ratifying this and none other to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 16th day of March in the year Nineteen hundred and twelve..

Maryland, Carroll County To Wit:on the 22nd day of December 1914, before the Orphans Court of Carroll County came John E. Drach and in open court in the presence of Almightly God solemnly declared that the above instrument of writing is the true and whole last will and testament of Peter E. Drach, late of Carroll County, deceased, that he received said will from Nathan H. Baile who received same from testator during his lifetime for safekeeping and that he does not know of any other will or codicil left by said deceased.

Maryland, Carroll County to Wit: On the 22nd day of December 1914, before the Orphan's Court of Carroll County came Walter A. Barnes and Isaac M. Smelser the subscribing witnesses of the aforegoing last Will and Testament of Peter E. Drach, late of Carroll County, deceased and in open court in the presence of Almighty God solemnly declare that they did see Peter E. Drach the testator in said will named, sign and seal, said will; that they heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament; that at the time of so doing he the said testator, was, to the best of their apprehension, knowledge and belief, of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding and that they subscribed their respective names as witnesses to said will at the request of the said testator, in his presence and in the presence of each other.

The Court, after having carefully examined the above last will and testament of Peter E. Drach, late of Carroll County, deceased and also the evidence adduced as to its validity, orders and decree this 22nd day of December 1914, that the same be admitted to probate in this court as the true and genuine last will and testament of this said Peter E. Drach, deceased.

2Obituary Notice: The Union Bridge Pilot Newspaper, Friday, December 4, 1914.
Mr. Peter Drach died at the home of his son John E. Drach at Sams Creek last Friday. He leaves two sons, John E. and Isaac (the latter living in the west) and one daughter Mrs. Ed. Franklin in this county. The funeral took place on Monday, interment at Winter's Cemetery. Deceased was in his 78th year and is survived by one brother, Dr. Hanson Drach and one sister, Mrs. Mary Baker.
