Note: For the benefit of my family, Caleb is one of BJ's maternal 5th great grandfathers. He was the great grandfather of Dr. George B. Todd who is seen in the banner above.
Know all men by these presents, that we Esther Todd as Principal and Stephen Todd, Jr. (this Caleb's brother), both of Wallingford in the County of said (Harbor?) and Colony of Connecticut ... stand firmly bound and obliged unto John Hubbard, Esq; Judge of the Court of Probate for the District of New-Haven, in the Penal Sum Four Hundred Pounds Lawful Money of the said Colony: To the which Payment well and truly to be made, and done, we the said Esther Todd and Stephen Todd do bind Ourselves, and each of us, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, and each and every of them, for, and in the Whole, firmly by these Presents; signed with our Hands, and sealed with our Seals: Dated at New-Haven, the 5th Day of February in the 10th Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of GOD of Great-Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, etc. Annoque Domini, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy.
The Condition of this Obligation as such, That if the above bounden Esther Todd, Administratrix of all and singluar the Goods, /chattles, Credits, and Estate of Mr. Caleb Todd late of sd (said) town deceased, do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory ... do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the said Court of Probate at, or before the first Monday of March next ensuing: ... and furthermore, Do make, or cause to be made, a true and just Account of her said Administration, at, or before the first Monday of February which will be A.D. 1771... . The the bottom of the entire text we find the words "Done in Court" and the signatures of Esther Todd, Stephen Todd and the clerk.

To understand the currency valuation noted you should understand that 2.10.06 = 2 pounds, 10 shillings, 6 pence. I copied much of the original spelling as seen in the hand written inventory list.
